captchance
Need some advice...I have always and still do think that bigger is better. That being said I am second guessing myself on buying a new trolling motor. Always before it has been 36 v 101+ lb thrust. There is something in my brain saying you don't need the extra power and the weight of another battery. Also this is my first bay boat, all of my other boats have been flats boats so do I need the 52 or 62 " shaft? I think the 52 should work just fine. Just looking for opinions. The motor would be on a 24 tournament. Thanks guys
Lap it Up
I would get the biggest 24 volt available with the longest shaft available. The long shaft helps keep the motor in the water when your in "not so calm" seas.
captchance
i have decided to go with a minn kota riptide sf 101. a buddy of mine went with the biggest 24 volt he could get and it would act like it was running hot after about 30 minutes. the boat is big enough that the weight of another battery isnt a issue for me and i like to have the extra power. thanks for the help tho
