Paid Up
So I order a new depth machine and the transducer mount will not work in the current holes. I hate drilling holes in the hull but have tried to alter new bracket to use the old holes and won’t work. What is good to fill the old holes that are sometimes below water line? Thanks in advance
bernieNC
Would this be the ticket? http://sternsaver.com/
RodWorks
I would use Marine Tex or a color match gelcoat kit to patch the old holes and then drill new ones.
fishmanjj
Below the WL .... I would use 5200 sealant. However...I do agree with RodWorks in that you could fill with fiberglass or Marine Tex and then gel coat, if that's the route you take.
HoneyB
Marine Tex if you plan on mounting the new item over the patch it will be fine
Bamaskeet
If all you have to do is slightly raise or lower a new transducer, I have had some luck screwing on a piece of Starboard using the old holes and then screwing the new transducer into the Starboard.
