conocean
John @ Maximum Outboards did my 100 hour service and installed steering ram end cap kit so quick that I complained about him working too fast! Great service & fair price as usual. Bob @ IMS replaced my tired Odyssey 1200 TM batteries; they were almost 7 years. He agreed to swap em overnight because I was in a time crunch. Can't believe he still puts up with me! They never disappoint. Thanks guys!
HarleyG8r
John at Maximum has been taking care of my folks' boat for years, and rebuilt the HPDI on my Pathy. I've dealt with several Yamaha guys around Broward County throughout the years, and he has far and away been the most honest, thorough and competent mechanic I've come across. whichwaysup
Two thumbs up for Bob at Inshore Marine. There are very few people that would do as much to help a forum member as he did for me. I wish I lived closer, but for you Florida guys, je should be your first call. dabear
Anyone further north in the Tampa Bay area should check out Family Boating Center for anything from a repower to basic maint . Joe R
DavisIslander
Going to TA Mahoney tomorrow morning to get the trailer updated with new leaf springs, vortex hubs, etc. They have a great reputation here in Tampa Bay.

JEM
Torsion axles are very superior to the old technology springs. That is why most new boat trailers have torsions.

Several hundred, guesstimate of $300 more for the torsion. The ride is far better and will outlast springs.
DavisIslander
$300 isn't bad considering I only need leaf springs, bearings, running boards, etc. etc...laughing! Good thing I negotiated the total price and took into account the cost of repairs to the trailer.
BradM
You can always do it yourself...not a bad job at all. I spent more time measuring than I did doing the actual work.
