Yamaha to Simrad cable

Recommended Posts

I’m looking to get my engine info from my 2011 250 sho. I’m finding 2 different cables. The one from West just has 2 plugs, one Yamaha, one nmea 2k. It’s only $95.

The other one that has the Yamaha part number has the same 2 plugs and a small box. I’ve seen it from $250-$350.

I already have a nmea backbone, can I use the cheaper cable from West and just tie in from my Yamaha buss bar? The 2 different cables is throwing me off and I’d prefer to get it done my first attempt. Any of you fellas done this on your simrads or other brands?
