Offroadpete
Hi all, I have a 2001 2200v with a 250vmax + bob's jackplate on it. when im in rough water theres some flex on the transom, im gonna say 1/2inch-1inch of deflection (thats the transom, the top of the cowling deflects maybe 3-5 inches) and this is in rough water. in smooth water its barely noticeable. Is this considered normal on the pathfinders? I cant find a single article of someone having to redo a transom on these boats.

Moderator
No, Have not seen a transom redo.. Your motor is too big and it is slung back on the jackplate like a lever. The hull was not designed for that. You probably ought to remove both, and drop down in HP. M-M

The engine is NOT too big. OP, How much set back is your Bobs plate?
