fin-addict Posted April 16, 2018 Report Posted April 16, 2018 interesting, at first I thought it might be BULL BARS for bow and stern.
whichwaysup Posted April 16, 2018 Report Posted April 16, 2018 How did you mitigate the stress on the poling platform? Is it supported in the front somehow? Hard to see in the pics. Turn it backwards and it makes for a nice comfy picnic table/rigging station.
Big Dave Posted April 16, 2018 Report Posted April 16, 2018 That ain't no polling platform--it's a diner table!

It's not meant to be a seat during a run...only when stationary...if it shows any stress...Ralph will fix it. dc
conocean Posted April 17, 2018 Report Posted April 17, 2018 Lot of stuff going on for a 17' boat. It looks Frankenstein-ish but functional! Ralph's work looks flawless, as expected. A guest on the rear seat and Dino posted up on a bow leaner should balance it nicely. It will be interesting to see how the boat is balanced and situated at rest when Dino and a guest (or 2) are on the rear deck in regards to how close the bilge outflow hole & splash well holes are to the water line. Add a chop or a wave or two and there could be some water ingress. With two power poles and those rear hatches full of stuff, weight could be an issue.
Wanaflatsfish Posted April 18, 2018 Author Report Posted April 18, 2018 going to run it Thursday out fishing...I'll let you know how she works.... dc

Actually, nothing really has changed......we've fished the stern a good bit and and even more so when standing.....The rear hatches do not have any batteries, etc...I've moved them up front and normally the other rigging box only has 10 lbs of ice for the purple bag of death.... dc
