Wanaflatsfish
Ran the prop with a full fishing load on Saturday.... full tank of gas, 1/2 live full of shrimp, ice in the purple bag of death in the port hatch (20 lbs).... I took off the 35 qt Yetti Cooler and have replaced it with a 25 Engel that I place on the floor in front of console...lunch moves to a soft bag with ice packs under the seat. Only life jackets and rain gear in the forward hatch - 10 lb anchor and rode on the bow, 24V Ulterra as well Batteries - in front console (2) and under starboard is the house battery with two PP pumps. Results: WOT 5300 rpms - 34 --35 MPH with some "tweaking of the tabs" but, not worth the effort. Hole Shot - Instant - 1 boat length - it really spins right up Midrange - strong The small prop = 15P really made a difference and I now have a nice bow rise vs. previous on the SCD stern lifter. when balanced out with the tabs it runs really nicely in the 30-31 mph range.....and even with a small chop or calm....is fast enough for me when running chokoloskee these days due to the amount of trees and debris in the back area bights. Flats Man
What were the rpm's at WOT with your old prop? And what was the pitch of the old one? Was it a 17P? Thanks
Wanaflatsfish
If I recall, about 5K....and yes, it was 17P. dc
