nicecast
Anyone add rod holders to the walls around the forward deck area - along the deck walls of the rod lockers or forward hatch? Just looking for location and number suggestions. Thanks!
Bamaskeet
I mounted some rod holders on the bulkhead and they come in handy.
nicecast
That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks! One question - it appears the height of the top of the holders - the black rubber covers - is higher than the forward deck level. Is that an optical illusion? If not, does it present any issues with accessing the forward hatch or deck? I have a TE and use my forward livewell every trip
Bamaskeet
The rod holders are slightly below the deck level when the hatch is closed.
justdriftin
I put some just in the front of the large dry storage, right behind the front baitwell. Come in very hand fishing off the bow. I'd like some in the gunnel up there as well just a little trickier to get located right.
justdriftin
Sorry, not sure what happened with that post, hopefully you get the gist.

I then used a dual trident aluminum to hold two rods....most of the time, I used the dual trident to hold both the chunking rod and my casting rod. it worked well. When I was power polled down, I would then throw the chunk rod with a lady fish or other chunk bait down the bow shoreline directly ahead and with the popping cork in had I worked the 11 O'clock to 7 O'Clock on the port side.
