fin-addict
could not stand the scratches on the used gps I bought. took some glass top stove cleaner and in 10 minutes removed all the anti glare product. glass screen looks like new and brighter, rather deal with some glare. could always put some anti glare film on it if need be. just an FYI if having same issue. fin
dcathey
What brand? I’ve got a simrad starting to show the diamond pattern anti glare. Factory says 2 weeks to repair. I’d rather just remove it
fin-addict
Weiman Cook Top. think any would do. It's a cream. Also read cream type boat polish, did not have any so I tried the cook top cleaner and it worked great, found that out by myself. fin
RodWorks
I used a cleaner type car polish to do the same on my old Garmin. Improved the screen visibility greatly after.
dcathey
Thoughts on doing this to a touch screen? Or should I just send it to factory?
conocean
My friend did same to his GPS screens on his Sea Vee then he put a piece of super expensive high end clear tint film on them. (the film was made by a German company but the name escapes me; it's the same film I have on the glass door overlooking my pool area) Now the screens are nearly as vibrant as they were brand new out of the box.
