Headhunter
Guys, I am headed to Crystal River this weekend to chase some trout, red fish and snook with CCA. Can so of the local experts help me with what I should bring tackle and lure wise? I haven't been therefor 30 years so my info is a little dated. Thanks in advance! all wet
I fish a little north of there around Cedar Key, but should be pretty much the same. Topwater lures (I use Skitterwalks), jig heads with gulp shrimp, and a popping cork rig usually cover all the bases for me. Lots of grass flats there. Limitless
For the Gulp 3" New Penny. Pink or Electric Chicken plastic paddle tails on 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig heads. Mirrorlure top water and sinkers in mullet colors.

RCW
The Gulp in pearl white works well on the trout also. 5 inch jerk shads in darker colors will help you with the reds and snook around the islands. Outer islands and bars have been producing the last couple of weeks.

Sold my 3rd Hewes but, I'll have another in the future. Right now I'm kind of out of fishing a while. Had shoulder surgery and the doc says no fishing or non-pt use of that arm until probably end of September. The physical therapy on it is a biatch.
