MuddyBottomBluz
The backrest on my current leaning post (non MBG) is removable. I have to store it when trailering, it raddles in its holder, never remove it other than trailering. Should I have it permanently mounted, welded on, are there pro & cons I am not seeing? I'm thinking make it permanent and weld the sucker on! Thoughts?
bernieNC
Then it is permanent. I would say half the time I go out I like to take mine off.
fin-addict
if always on then weld it but think about resale down the road.
imsnookyrd
Maybe drill and tap and bolt it from the back.
justfish
If your gonna Mount it permanently, do it so you get those to rod holders back. I had this one made for mine and really liked his design - he made it slightly wider than leaning post and back cushion to allow for hand holds. I will prob do same thing on my next one
