SouthernWake Posted May 17, 2018 Report Posted May 17, 2018 Coming down in 2 weeks from it of state and had a few questions. is bait around on the flats? Last year I had to resort to shrimp as I struggled to get any white bait on the flats even with chum. any tips for getting a snook bite on incoming tide? I have luck when it’s outgoing fishing outside mangrove cuts etc but they don’t seem to hold the fish on the incoming. any general local knowledge to be aware of?
fin-addict Posted May 18, 2018 Report Posted May 18, 2018 jug creek shoal normally holds bait. try chum around markers. you may run into some red tide in the area. snook in the trough on south side of pass along the beach. good luck. also try pass just south of boca pass. holds snook deep and around the fallen trees on outside and left of entrance.
Davej Posted May 18, 2018 Report Posted May 18, 2018 Bait on the South side of Devil Fish...........gotta chum for them.
SouthernWake Posted May 26, 2018 Author Report Posted May 26, 2018 Looking ahead at the forecast in 2 weeks I’m worried about the S/Sw winds killing my shots at tarpon on the beach
