flats
Hey guys, recently picked up my 2500 hybrid. I've been told several things regarding where to put the transducer ie; under the center console up above the step as a thru hull or shoot-thru transducer. I understand that is a PITA local just to get to and even getting the correct angle on the transducer to be effective. Going with either a simrad or Lowrance unit and was wondering if anyone just hung a total-scan transducer off of the back of their transom and if there was any issues with it there? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Flats
ChrisB
Total scan on transom will only work at idle speeds. if you want a bottom reading on plane you need a transducer in front of the step. We usually install both. Picture is of foward ducer on a 25 under the Batteries.
