Coto
Looking to leave Motorguide in the rear view mirror but I can't decide if the Fortrex 52" or the 62" would be best. I have a 50" shaft on my Great White and it works great except in the rough chop where I have to put down real low but I have a handle extension for that. I am just concerned that the 62" Minn Kota is going to be too big while stowed and stick out too much past the rub rail making it a hassle for docking. My Motorguide 50" sits perfectly on the deck and is never a concern around the docks. Does anyone have a Fortrex on their 21 Redfisher that can provide some advice or a picture of how it looks on their boat?

J.N
My 62" motor guide head hangs out past the rub rail a little. I had to do it because the glassed in mounting plate didn't allow me to get it perfect. I have to be careful at the docks or I will damage the head. Coto
Thank you for your reply JN. The dock issue is what I want to avoid. I figure I will go with a 52" since I am comfortable with the 50" I already use.
Coto
JN, I have the same 2.6 liter motor on my 21. What prop size are you running? I run a Yamaha 21M and it runs great but curious to see what others have on.
mulligan
I do not have the same TM, MG tiller 60". Mine only sticks out some if it was raised when using and stowed that way. If it is lowered while in use it is about flush with rubrail.
