lcclark9
I recently lost power on my trolling motor. I checked and had power at the plug. I took the Xi5 in for service and repair of a powder coat issue on the motor. The Xi5 tested fine after repair but would power up and shut down on the boat. After some checks I found that the screw that connects the cable from the trolling motor power switch to the breaker had fallen out. The wire was still in contact with the breaker so it showed 36V at the plug but under load the power would drop out. If your batteries are under the leaning post it is difficult without removing at least one battery to get access to the breaker. Thought I would share and maybe save somebody some time and effort chasing this down.
