East Coast Dave
Got my new livewell light in from Amazon this past week. What would you use in the way of sealant? It's for a 2300 HPS, so it's the one at the bottom of the well. 4200 since it may need to be removed/ replaced in the future?

geeviam
IMO, 4200 is not much less permanent than 5200. It has great strength, but it's still very hard to remove later. If you just need a good seal, with excellent adhesion to almost any surface below the waterline, BoatLife Life Seal is a good product. Comes in white, clear, and black. SCFD rtrd.
Yep, Life Seal is good stuff. Clean the area with Acetone first.

SCFD rtrd.
Dave, Life Seal is also very good when installing a hose over a barbed fitting. Additionally, it works great when you are installing pumps, strainers and threaded pipe. When you are threading things together, you don't have to make an absolute tight threaded connection. Just put a little Life Seal on the threads and hand tighten till it's firm.
