Nick2400TRS
I am replacing my console mounted nav lights with rub rail mounted taco led's. my question is how hard is it to run the new wiring from the console up there? Is there a factory installed line to pull the wires? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
HoneyB
I ran new Wires from my console forward to my trolling motor. I am not sure I remember a chase running forward but it was easy to get a fish tape running up that way and working through the anchor locker. SCFD rtrd.
There is probably a factory installed PVC chase from the console to the anchor locker for the trolling motor wires. You can use the same chase. Why would you want to move the navigation lights from the console to the forward rub rail?
HoneyB
I do not remember the pvc chase coming all the way forward. I always use my phone to get a look below deck. I must have deleted my pics after I finished my work. Funny story I literally got stuck in my anchor well looking around below decks. I put both arms in and went in for a look around, when it came time to back out I was stuck!! My 9 year old son went and called my brother in law to help me get out. One shoulder and a head and your good. But put both shoulders in there and there is no backing out
Nick2400TRS
I think the design of the nav lights on the console is very cheesy. Its a poor spot, somebody always standing there while running and partially blocking the light. Thanks everyone for the info, im going to run over to my boat tomorrow and take a look to see what im going to need. im going to tackle the project next weekend. HoneyB
I agree about not having them on the console.
