NJriverstripers
2019 Pathfinder 2005 with F150... -Looking for top speed especially. -Has anyone built with Vf150? Considering 2005 over 2200 because of higher freeboard and deeper hull for more versatility in coastal NJ. Thanks in advance.
Bamaskeet
If you use a 3 blade prop, setup correctly, you will see 50 mph. But the boat runs much better with a stern lifting 4 blade prop (OFX4 X17) which will give you low to mid 40 mph.
HoneyB
Did I miss what size boat you are asking about ?

Is your advice based on experience with your own boat, or have you taken a ride on the new 2019 Pathfinder model 2005 TRS? IMHO, and only from what I've seen in the model 2005 TRS running video, this newly designed hull would be better balanced with a 150 hp motor - the extra weight on the stern would balance out the COG better. And, it doesn't need a stern lifting prop, but rather a bow lifting prop, because this awesome new hull obviously has a lot of stern lift built into the design. Put a 150 SHO with a Tempest Plus 3-blade on it, and watch it fly!

I have not personally seen one of the new 2005’s, but in the pictures I’ve seen, it is a beautiful boat. I do run a F150 on a 2200XL , currently with a OFX4-17 Power Tech prop, this is a stern lifting prop and functions very smoothly and the boat handles nice.... top speed with 4 blade is around 44 / 45 mph. I also have ran a Power Tech 3 blade 19” and have seen 49 mph, but I prefer the handling and stern lift over top end because where I fish....normally the sea conditions do not allow for WOT . I have not tried the Tempest Plus prop..but have heard people really love the results.

Drop power to four stroke 115 low 40's.
