VsteveV
I'm a little annoyed with my motor falling to the side when trailering. I have the rubber yamaha insert that goes over the piston, but it still does not prevent the motor from tilting. Anyone have any feed back on the Motormates? Seems like all the bass guys have them....
Capt. Troy
Don't know what their called but I have these blue plastic things that snap on the steering ram and prevents the motor from laying over. If I didn't it would hit the poling platform when tilted up. Takes 5 seconds to put on and off. Here, There like these but much sturdier than these here. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/marinetech-trailering-stabilizer-clips?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&affcode_c=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI94zyzOGB4QIVFonICh1vbQTIEAQYAiABEgJSlPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Hmmmmm I used them on my F150 and forgot one time at the ramp to take it off.....it was interesting to try and dock dc
VsteveV
Yea Ive seen those clips before. I do like the motor mate concept a little better. I'm just curious as to why the majority of them are on bass boats.
Capt. Troy
Here they are! had them 10 years now! https://www.amazon.com/TH-Marine-SS-1-DP-Hydraulic-Steering/dp/B000KKD30O Dino, notice the warning label in the pic.😊
mulligan
I have been using a MotorMate for awhile now. It works great! I did cut mine down some so it is not tilted up as much.
fin-addict
Had the same problem, easy fix. Piece of pvc tube with a 1/4” slice taken out of the side and snap onto steering rod after eng is centered. Both sides of motor.
jh141
I use Moto-Stop Steering Clips. Heavy rubber, very nice.
Bamaskeet
My buddy uses a Motormate and it works good. It supports the motor and keeps it straight while trailering. I would buy one, but they are a little pricey compared to Mywedge.
