algi
Maybe a stupid question but i replace my seals today and all went well but i noticed my steering wheel can still turn when motor is at its end Never really noticed this but is this normal
triplec
Maybe some air still in the lines it sounds like. The wheel can turn but it will def get stiff and stop but past the engine turning if that makes sense. Thats actually how to bleed the air I think sea star says. Hard turns and turning past the stop. FLDXT
Find somebody with a power purge a d have them bleed it properly, it's got air in the line most likely.
algi
so if i understand right, the wheel should not turn if the engine is at it farthest point.Or should i say keep turning search bubble purge sea star steering on you tube. that what i did pretty simple. Maybe i have alittle air left . I will check
SCFD rtrd.
Yep, always start easy and simple. Purging the air would be the first step. If that doesn't work, then the problem is inside the helm. There are two valves inside the helm near the bottom. For some reason these valves attract foreign matter that stick to the valves and valve seats. This causes the valves to leak-by. If you are mechanical, the fix is pretty easy, just needs a good cleaning. If purging the air doesn't work, post up again and I will walk you through the process.
