Hello I have a 2000 bayfisher 90 hp Yamaha and I am looking to get a little skinnier does anyone think that installing a Jack plate will help me run any skinnier?? I moved my batteries to the forward storage compartment. Will the investment be worth it. Thank in advance.. Pete

If you get a nice 4 blade prop that likes to be run high, you wont loose much bite while on plane with the plate up.

You will be able to idle shallower too. Get the smallest setback I think 4".

Get a water pressure gauge, nothing worse than zipping across some skinny stuff, all jacked up and BUZZZ the overheat alarm kills the rpms and your stuck. been there.
