captpn Posted May 20, 2019 Report Share Posted May 20, 2019 If you get a nice 4 blade prop that likes to be run high, you wont loose much bite while on plane with the plate up. You will be able to idle shallower too. Get the smallest setback I think 4". Get a water pressure gauge, nothing worse than zipping across some skinny stuff, all jacked up and BUZZZ the overheat alarm kills the rpms and your stuck. been there.
