Paid Up Posted June 6, 2019 Report Posted June 6, 2019 This maybe a dumb question but my boat is 7 hours away and just trying to get some knowledge. A local guy replaces my starting battery and now says my fuel gauge is blinking empty when I know it’s got a full tank. Is their a positive and negative from the sending unit to the batteries or does it connect to the fuse block? The fact it’s blinking empty make me think I have a bad ground. Any tips on this as to where to start looking?
SCFD rtrd. Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 I've been off the grid for a while and just saw your post. Did you figure out the problem?
smooth move Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 take the sending unit wires off and clean them. may even find a wire corroded in two.
