Mounting fuse block to removable console door on a 96 BF18?

I'm thinking of mounting a fuse block or breaker panel to the 2 part hinged console door, it looks sturdy enough and would make servicing a piece of cake. Opinions?

Hi Chuck. I’m interested to see what you ended up doing. I’m about to rewire and I think I’ll mount mine to a piece of starboard that I can attach to the inside of the console and remove to work On Anything. I’m also going to wire everything coming and going to the switch panel and the breaker block to terminals. If I ever need to chase anything down or switch out something it can be done simply from the circuit terminal.
