HoneyB
I was in Steinhatchee last week. It is much slower than in years past. some locals say the state numbers on the surveys are almost cut in half from years past. I found a sopt and caught the limite a cople of days. After some rain fall that part of the bay got silty and made gatereing harder. the beautiful clear water up north around keyton offered very few scallops
pondfisher
Heard the same from a buddy who took his family to Homosassa. Thin pickings.

HoneyB
we clean on the boat.. a few days we cleand 4 pints and could have done more.. toward the end of the week High tide was mid day so the low vis high water made it difficult. I knew where they were but eveything was against spotting the little fellas. Toward the end of the week we cleaned one to two pints a day.. but for us being on the boat swimming with the kids playing in and with natrure it was a blast.. lrobalo
Any better action on the scallops?
pondfisher
Reports from Pasco are mixed but mostly good (although that county's season is over). Reports north of there are pretty bad. Had a buddy go out AGAIN from Hernando and they could barely find them. Very slow year. Maybe in August it will pick up.
