Tgreg1
Hi all. Have a 2200 trs and really want to get a pedestal seat installed at the front of the boat. The perfect spot is where the center front hatch is. Is that too much stress on the hatch to be sitting on there all the time? I don’t want it on the floor since it would take up sitting space where the front cooler seat is.
fin-addict
Mount just in front of hatch cover where my chair is. Also have a ped chair mount right below it is you have the same setup, don’t recall.

Under the seat I have ss cable with turnbuckle with hook that attaches to a closed end threaded pvc cap that screws into the ped chair mount that came with the boat. Does not move at all. Excellent fighting chair for tarpon, shark or just using trolling motor. Made it from alum shower stool and added seat. $300.
Tgreg1
Thx any reason you don’t use the pedestal mount? I will have to check my boat. I don’t remember seeing that much space between the front hatch and the anchor locker
fin-addict
Had a ped mount seat on another boat, wanting something more useful. Rod and drink holders, tray to hold items. Also can move it around at anchor or my son is on the TM I move it to the back deck.
