+1 on Lowrance's customer service. I had an Elite 5 HDI unit that kept shutting down on me. One phone call and they swapped it out for a new unit. Fast forward a year and a half and my replacement unit started doing the same thing. I made a phone call not expecting much, but they swapped it out for a new Elite 5 Chirp unit. I've been really impressed with them.

BTW, Lowrance just announced a $300 rebate on their HDS 3 units if you buy certain components.
