Already know ive spent more then buying a newer boat but i like the work. 90 2stroke was hard to let go. But im sure the 115 will help me forget. Will post original photos and as the process evolves. 1 Quote

whichwaysup Posted September 27, 2019 Report Posted September 27, 2019 Wow!! Are you doing the work yourself or having it done? Really impressive! Quote
polliwog Posted September 30, 2019 Report Posted September 30, 2019 How does the 115 4 stroke compare to the 90 as far as hole shot and top speed? What is the weight difference ? Great looking job. Quote
chad1616 Posted October 7, 2019 Author Report Posted October 7, 2019 Mix on labor involved in project. Professionals doing the glass work . Haven’t run it since hanging new motor. Reinforcing deck where foamboard compresses from forward casting platform blocking deck to get imperfections out 1 Quote
hawg Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 I've owned a couple of these and I've found that you have to be very careful when tightening down the turnbuckle on the casting platform to prevent damaging the deck beneath the legs. There is a very fine line between "tight enough" and dinging the deck. 1 Quote
jason p Posted October 16, 2019 Report Posted October 16, 2019 Yes they are thin, price you pay for light boats. I dented my the deck on my HPX with my elbow when I fell off my casting platform. Awesome resto... keep the pics coming. Quote
chad1616 Posted November 4, 2019 Author Report Posted November 4, 2019 Lots of uninteresting glasswork. Filling in void behind rubrail, finishing off deck reinforcement, lots of blocking and sanding. Tray for batteries in front locker. One inch nidacore/4 layers triaxial glass. Picking up 5 gallons of gel from minicraft in wildwood in morning with reducers/wax/etc 1400$ 1 Quote
fin-addict Posted November 4, 2019 Report Posted November 4, 2019 Looks like it coming along great. Keep the photos coming. Love the look of the teak decking for the cockpit. What color are you going with. Quote
whichwaysup Posted November 4, 2019 Report Posted November 4, 2019 That fiberglass work isn't boring to some of us - nice work! Really like that battery tray. The one in my MA is plastic and is cracking. I'll never understand why they would use plastic to hold two large TM batteries in the bouncy bow of a boat! 1 Quote
Coto Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 Looking good. I put the new console hatch on mine also, way better looking than the old one. Keep sending the progress pics I am enjoying it. 👍 1 Quote

whichwaysup Posted November 21, 2019 Report Posted November 21, 2019 Wow absolutely stunning. Does that console door have a glove compartment in it at the top? Quote
chad1616 Posted November 22, 2019 Author Report Posted November 22, 2019 no just a split door, intentions are to relocate majority of switches inside and build a slide out tray over battery Quote
chad1616 Posted November 27, 2019 Author Report Posted November 27, 2019 Even the new rubrail came in a green box .finally ready to nonskid Quote
