Blactaco23
And a few others of how I did my shelf and cleats. The rear cleats were installed without cutting any extra holes. I bonded a plate with stainless nuts welded to it then 5200 bonded in. The rod holders I welded up and capped off on the bottom. When stored I plug them so no water gets in. Also cut my own silicone gasket so I didn't have to caulk it in. Also threw in some glass pics. Don't mind the hideous trolling motor area I had a major mistake happen and had to learn my lesson. The colors are off where I repaired the corners but the texture isn't bad. My plan is eventually spray the deck so everything is mostly structural I'll paint or it later down the road. I prefer the more sandpapery nonskid anyway

John B
Your trolling motor shaft holder deck mount is SLICK !! Question : how did you machine the 'cup' in the underside of the aluminum piece to accept the domed screw head ? jb

Did light cuts and eyeballed it so get it to sit right it's probably like 30 thousandths high so the threaded spacer doesn't actually touch the deck too much it's just a space filler to look nice

Blactaco23
I've also been working on another little project in the down time between my buddies boat and my console. Trying to ball on a budget and have a little shade at the sand bar. I have a few ideas just trying to mock it up and get ideas

It's mostly that I only have 13 dollars invested into it so far. The canopy was well 13ish dollars. The rest is just some PVC. I plan on machining my own mount for the front but that's cheap the rest just kinda happened. Me and my buddy decided I have a 40 dollar budget for fun

Blactaco23
Got the door fit up. Next is cleaning up the caulking maybe a little more gelcoat work. However I'm seeing things I don't care for while cleaning out caulk. I know it doesn't actually matter but eventually I'll paint the entire boat so might as well do a little gel coat filler to save myself some time later on. Blactaco23
Started wiring up the board. Im not a fan of the connection from the ground to the terminal then to another ground. ( not digging having power and ground on the same terminal bar). However I can't see any issues so I'll leave it for now till I see a way to clean it up/sort it out. But for now it will work. Everything wired going to the switches, all that is left is putting it in and hooking up the wires from the devices to the ground and terminal bar. Blactaco23
Got quite a bit done tonight, the electrical board is mounted, drains and battery tray are in. Also hooked up the throttle and the steering hoses(needs fluid can't forget). Started ziptieing stuff out of the way and prepping to finish the wiring tomorrow. Aside from one paint chip and having to move the nmea 2000 network down a little not to bad so far. On the home stretch now
