Measured space between letters & numbers..warning! Had to remove, buy new block letters/numbers and replace with appropriate spacing. (I think he's retired now, haven't seen in a while). I was feeling a little guilty about spending $45 on fancy-schmancy letters, but they really do look good and the fact that they were pre-spaced made applying them incredibly easy.
