whichwaysup
Hey Folks - For the Master Angler Cult, I'd love to get all the MA pics in one place so we can all drool over them together. Feel free to post pics of your current MA or previous ones you've owned. Provide a few details (year, length, power, etc). Also, if you have pics of your deck layout, it will help us re-create the years that things like rod lockers and hatch layouts changed. whichwaysup
Here's my 1987. Bought her down in Jax in 2013, moved her up to Roanoke, VA, then moved her to Greenville NC and ultimately to Wilmington NC. Had to sell her when I bought my 2000 MA, and she is now back up in Southeastern Virginia where she chases striper. First pic is the day I sold her, the second pic is the day I bought her,
whichwaysup
And here's my 2000 18.5 MA. Absolute rocket, love this boat. My 87 rode like a skiff - super light, very simple. My 2000 is a tank and feels like a Cadillac.

I've never ridden on a MA before, but I like the looks of that sharp vee entry at the bow with the flared vee going aft for stability and dry ride. Must be a comfortable ride in a chop.
Nag Juice
The white hull was a 1997 18MA Dual Rod Locker with a carbed 150. It was like my first born child. Then the week before I got married tragedy struck. The new sled is a 2006 18MA w a F150. Kind of miss the old carbed motor but fuel economy is nice as well as the larger console. EDIT: SMURFETTE was right in front of me the whole time when looking. The blue turned me off as with everyone else in Orlando. It took over a year to find the first one.

It's hard to believe she sat for sale for 6-8 months. I don't know of another 2006 out there. She's a great bote and gets plenty of looks in the National Champs Tarheel Blue. I thought very hard about @fsusteve's 21, but chickened out.

Wanaflatsfish
Still a work in progress....more to come... I stripped the skinny mini 17 and put on the power poles, added the Ulterra, placed the Fish On Tempress seats to the console seat and driver's seat (very comfy) and used Kennedy tie downs for the Yetti... She's running great..well balanced...57 miles on Sunday over in Chokoloskee....Top speed was 38 mph, nice cruise @ 29-32 mph, getting about 3.5-4 mpg.... Now I see why, everyone is fighting for them... Paul - Conocean....I owe you big time for helping me find this boat !!!!....the bottle of rum will be with me next trip to visit you in Choko.... hurricane
Something I see in common with most of the boats, tannin stained hulls. I just found this and it is totally awesome, just spray it watch the hull turn white and rinse it off. http://www.starbrite.com/item/fiberglass-stain-remover-gel-formula

I have been using barkeepers friend, but it requires some serious elbow grease. If its as good as you say, I'll definitely grab some. My white is starting to look like my yellow! fsusteve
Mary Kate's On Off does it too, I think it's basically watered down muratic acid.

Yes I've used it and it works. Im sure it removes all the wax, but I just used on the bottom of the hull and in the pocket.

conocean
Here's my old 1995 17MA that I will always miss. This was the day the new owner's Captain pulled away from my home with it in tow (Sept 12, 2010). And yes, I shed a tear....or 2!!

conocean
That boat was so good to me. It ran almost 50mph with that Black Max Merc. She has lived on the bow of a motoryacht in central FL since the day after those pics were taken. It's only been used about 100 hrs since I sold it and that motor still runs perfect!
