Genius idea! IS there any specific model for 36V trolling set up or same plug works on all? Thanks.

Talk about making yourself nervous when expanding the hole for the new vent!!! Did you have to cut the liner in the forward box to get to the back side? HewesYourDaddy
38 minutes ago, HoneyB said: Did you have to cut the liner in the forward box to get to the back side? No. Mine has a removable piece that is made of some type of hard, thin sheet plastic (then carpeted) that has been formed to fit the area at the very stern end of the hatch. It’s in there pretty tight, and I never realized it was a separate piece until I began this project. I think I got more cuts, bruises, and pokes on this project than any other I’ve done on my boat. HewesYourDaddy
While I’m at it...... I’m looking to replace the anchor locker latch. Factory piece was plastic. Is there a direct replacement that is SS? And what is the actual piece called?
jim33042
HYD, "Grabber latch". I could only find the replacement part a couple of years ago: SouthCo Marine, @ West Marine, if you look there are three lb force types, hardest is 9.89. I replaced a couple of the originals on my flats boat and they seem to be holding up. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/southco-marine--push-to-close-pull-to-open-grabber-catch-side-mount-9-89ft-lb-pull-up-force--15878762?recordNum=15 but a little google search and amazon now has some listed (keep scrolling down)..... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=southco+latches&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq9vs_NKm5QIVKv_jBx0cEQDfEAAYASAAEgLZHvD_BwE&hvadid=241923251950&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9011880&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=b&hvrand=6463341363470040329&hvtargid=kwd-515464779&hydadcr=24660_10400764&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_5lziykty0e_b

whichwaysup
Got to spend the entire day cleaning up the boat and working out little bugs. Every light in the boat works, every switch, everything is right. Fuel sender gave me an issue in the a.m., but found corrosion that caused it and addressed that. 2 years of sitting in shops put a lot of dust, dirt, and grime in every cornern and crevice. The amount of durt in and around the hatches was impressive. I took out the old cooler brackets, dont need em sonce it has integrated strap holders. She is now sparkling clean, every bit of her waxed and flawless. still need to replace the rope in the rubrail, but will have to wait for a really hot day. Even with a heat gun it is too slow going. So glad to have her back.

Just spent an hour reinstalling the 4' of old rub rail with a heat gun and two screwdrivers. Will keep that in mind when I get the new rope, but will wait till a nice sunny 110 degree day! smilemaker
T Another tip a little late. Take a large bucket coil the rob rail neatly. Fill with real hot water and it will be easy to work with.

jason p
The rubber mallet, the coiled rope insert in hot water, and while the rope is soaking use the heat gun on the rub rail... all great methods plus then you don’t have to wait until summer. Leave the rope in the bucket and pull out only what you need as you work your way around the boat heating the rail and beating the rope into the rail.
