Popular Post FINCHASER Posted July 15, 2023 Popular Post Report Share Posted July 15, 2023 Snapper season is heating up.... been kinda meh up until this point been getting plenty but I dont get real excited till they get p above 17-18". Caught 47 legal mangroves last full moon but max size was 17". Went out This past thursday evening to get 1st crack at the ARS, baited up then headed to the grounds... we had a few hours to kill before midnight, set up on a spot I hadnt fished yet this year and landed on the XL mangroves boxed 17 (could have had our 2 man limit but we threw back some 13-14 inchers. Also got a nice dog snapper and a mutton. whichwaysup Posted July 25, 2023 Report Share Posted July 25, 2023 Took a week off to enjoy the summer fishery. A few days in the marsh, and a great trip with my bride up to New Bern. She and I got to watch an 8 foot Tarpon free jump completely out of the water 20 feet from the boat. Amazing sight up here in NC! Also got to take my youngest fishing and out to a waterside lunch.
