Reel Loco
Teaser from today. I mounted the poling platform but the front legs need to be reworked (they land on the lid for my baitwell). That's my last major project besides the motor. oldsalt
Action Craft? Is it just me or does it look real tall? Land and Sea order did not come in yesterday. I'll check with the store tomorrow and see if it came today.
lurem
Wouldn't you want to hang the motor first? Then the poling platform? Or were you just measuring for fit?
Reel Loco
The poling platform came off of Donh's 17 Maverick Tunnel skiff. It IS tall. Hopefully this old man can climb up there (LOL). Dale, I did mount it so I can start fitting for the new front legs. Bob, thanks for checking on the order. Great to hear that positive comment on the jackplate! The plan is to use an SC1000 digital Smartcraft gauge with the merc.

Reel Loco
Fabricated new front legs for the poling platform today. The back is killing me!!! :susel: Anyone know where I might be able to locate two 1" NPS aluminum weld caps? I can't seem to locate any. Reel Loco
Ping the Outlaw on here for a source of the caps. The LT is looking good. Thanks BR Didn't think about that option. I'll check with the local weld shop first. If not Shallow Water Customs might be able to give me a lead also.
Reel Loco
Time for the trailer makeover. The trailer came with 15" wheels but did not leave much room between them and the aluminum fenders. I called the trailer manufacturer with the serial number and found out the trailer originally had 13" wheels so I'm going to go with 14" wheels and tires to give me a little breathing room under the fenders. Monday the rig is going in for new superlube spindles, three new galvanized hub kits, three aluminum wheels and tires. I'll take some new pics when I get her back. The trailer has a torsion axle. Fishtails
I thought 14s would fit mine but they made contact after replacing axle. Had to go back to 13s on the E Z Loader.
FLDXT
I would use the biggest rim you can get, less revolutions, less heat, faster speeds. If I ever am lucky enough to get a trailer new, I will not have anything under 15", *** doing 65 everywhere.
