smilemaker
To add to my dislike of the system you need to look at where an I beam gets its strength. It is strong in a vertical axis. Once you start torquing the bottom plate it looses strength
Popular Post greenbone
I saw Yamaha had a special 5 year warranty that caught my interest. Put the 2012 150hp on marketplace and sold in 9 days. That was the deciding factor to put the 3rd engine on my 31 year old MA18. Went with SHO175 and this thing is a beast, great hole shot, 52mph at 5800, burns 7.2 gph at 28 mph. These figures are with 2 ppl and full tank gas. Ralph, they lowered engine last hole to clear platform.

Jag76
After see the way those individuals axle are mounted from the illustration shown .I do agree the full axle Is far more secure . I yjust like the idea of the added ground clearance. After pulling the axle I could see that the torsion axles were nearly parallel to the top of the frame mount contact surface. Giving her a squatted look. At rest the top of the tires we’re less than an inch from the finder Im going to have The Outlaw take care of it Since he’s has several other projects on my boat and trailer to do in the next couple months . He’s already completed my casting platform. So due to my current work schedule I would rather a give him this as well. We see the great work he’s done here for everyone. And he’s a good guy. RacerxV6
Is the 18 rated for a 175?
RacerxV6
Checked the oil in the vMax 115 and to my surprise she was barely showing on the stick. Added what I had and ordered another gallon and filter for a flush and refill. Question, do these 4 strokes use that much oil? How often do you check your oil? I am really curious about handling, Father of 4 seemed pretty disappointed in his MA after he repowered, but removing the JP seemed to help. Its been in the back of my mind ever since, so I will be very curious how you feel about the performance. I am not sure I want to hear that you love it, that coud get very expensive for me!!

As you can see, I don’t have a jack plate and I never have had one in the 31 years of ownership. The performance is great, hardly have to have any tab at higher RPM and it’s handles like a champ. installed with all new steering all new linkage all new gauges a little over 22K💵
Popular Post Jag76
Life time of aviation background and ndt inspections . When you allow cost to be a decision in a factor, unwanted results begins to appear. I’m replacing her with the original full axle assembly. Tks for all your valuable input.

Dont want to have to replace power, but when I do, I want what you have! 1

Combined with the warranty it was a no-brainer.

New SHO and new poles because….well, why not. She’ll get over it 🤣😂 Added a new 36v trolly with a Shore-Up sliding mount. Nice to be able to slide back before putting on the trailer. Also switched to lithium, can't believe the weight difference.

Mrmojorisan
Not much of an add... but I added a couple rod holders to the poling platform, based on where I wanted to place my cutting board when out fishing with cut bait.

Popular Post RacerxV6
Fished a Friday night tourney with my club on Lake Greenwood. Winds were unbelievable 20+, tough fishing. Ended up getting pushed into a submerged tree and broke the collar in the trolling motor, so need to replace that. However was blessed with the view of the Northern Light show...here are a couple pics I was able to take. Also got to see the I.S.S.

And replacing the collar of the TM is a PITA but if you havent been in salt it may be olay. I ended up just replacing the whole steering assembly and it was much better!
