MikeH
All those years of him playing first mate for you has done much more than make him a good captain. He will cherish those days spent with you for the rest of his life. Well done, sir!
Moderator
Be proud of your son ! Boating and fishing is a great way to have a son spend his free time. Like all Dads, you want him to be better than you, fishing and in life.. and grow past the risky times. Great posts !! Marc

whichwaysup
A pretty good time yesterday! 3 or 4 striper, 7 reds. The Striper were blowing up bait everywhere. We hooked about 10 on topwater but they were playing Houdini on us. Wind picked up late morning and I got to remember why I love that MA hull so much. Incredible to experience a little tabs when getting the business end of that bow into the chop!
whichwaysup
Dont y'all just love it when this happens? Striper are so aggressive, they will pursue a topwater right to the gunnel if they miss it enough times. Enjoy!

Kiawah area in general can be very fishy, but even the harder to reach areas are now seeing increased pressure and the fishing isn't what it was. The tiny oyster creek in the picture above was off a different river so there are a few quiet places left.

whichwaysup
At em again. Apparently the flounder we arent allowed to keep because they are endangered are thick. Caught these where they shouldnt have been! The sheep ate an artificial, and that big flounder was 22". And apparently, the world really did flip upside down . . .

Bamaskeet
The weather has been horrible since the red snapper season opened. This year the bulk of the fish have stayed further offshore than normal so you need good weather to run 25-35 miles to find the big fish.
